Thrive At Work
Statistics show that 1 in 4 adults in England have been diagnosed with mental illness, whilst 1 in 5 report experiencing mental health issues without being diagnosed. As a nation, we are becoming more sedentary, studies have linked inactivity with being overweight and obese. 1 in 4 adults in the UK are classed as obese, also type 2 diabetes, some types of cancer and even early death.
People spend a lot of time at work and this means that there is a real opportunity for businesses to contribute positively to their employee’s wellbeing, which in turn increases engagement, productivity and results whilst reducing absence and attrition.
Businesses are becoming wiser to the importance of having a wellbeing agenda because their employees expect it. What’s more, you don’t have to have a wellbeing specialist on your payroll to help you realise your wellbeing philosophy.
